A short course on implementation of CAPE-OPEN Material Objects will be given on Friday April 3, during the 6th CAPE-OPEN European conference in Freising (Munich, Germany). The course will deal with requirements of a material object, which interfaces to implement, and how to go about it.
The course will consist of a presentation in the morning, followed by a hands-on exercise in the afternoon. The exercise will concentrate on the actual implementation of a version 1.1 CAPE-OPEN material object in a VB.NET context. The application framework - a mini CAPE-OPEN simulator for calculation of a single unit operation with aid of a CAPE-OPEN Property Package - will be available.
